Louise Duke Reynolds, 83, of Starkville, went to her heavenly home Sept. 8, 2011. She passed away with family by her side at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo.
Visitation will be held at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, Saturday, Sept. 10, from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be at Adaton United Methodist Church, Sunday, Sept. 11, at 2 p.m. with Bro. Buddy Bayliss officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Church Duke; her mother, Loda McMullan Duke; and her only sister, Margaret Duke. Also awaiting her in heaven is her infant son and granddaughter, Dawn Wright.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, David M. Reynolds of Starkville; son, David A. Reynolds (Barbara) of Lamar; two daughters, Lexie Wright Speed (Donnie) of Caledonia, and Ginger Kornegay (Stanley) of Starkville. Surviving grandchildren are Michelle Johns of Germantown, Tenn., Melvin Reynolds of Winder, Ga., Sonya Woodie of Thomaston, Ga., Jason Wright of Foley, Ala., Shannon Wright of Columbus, Rhonda Warren of Brandon, Angela McClelland of Flowood, Misty Betts of Starkville, Dawne Gibson of Cottondale, Ala. and Mike Kornegay of Vance, Ala. She has 20 great grandchildren.
Louise was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her Lord and her church. She was active in the Adaton Methodist Church for many years as a Sunday School teacher, a member of the choir and served on various committees.
Her greatest desire is that all of her family and friends serve the Lord and be reunited in heaven someday for an eternal celebration. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
Memorial donations may be made to Adaton Methodist Church Building Fund or Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo.
