WEST POINT â€” Edna Lois Dill, 87, passed away, Friday, Sept. 9, 2011 at her home, in Pheba. Â
Edna Lois Dill was born April 10, 1924 in Pickens, Ala. to the late Cora Lee Rickman and Martin Lewis Jaynes. Â She was a seamstress at Monte Glove for 34 years and a member of Pheba Baptist Church. Â Edna Lois Jaynes Dill married Lemuel Ethel Dill April 9, 1942, in Clay County, he preceded her on November 27, 1964.
Funeral services will be Sunday, Sept. 11, at 3 p.m. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Terry Rhodes officiating.Â Burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery, in Montpelier. Â Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be Sunday at 1 p.m. until the 3 p.m. service time at Calvert Funeral Home.
Survivors include two daughters, Ethelyn Murdock (John) of Long Beach, Faye Peeples (Jeff) of West Point; Â seven sons: John Dill (Jo Ann) of Birmingham, Ala., Roy Lee Dill (Dorothy) of Sioux City, Iowa, Kenneth Dill (Joy), Dennis Dill (Cheryl) all of Starkville, James Dill, Ricky Dill (Deborah), Jimmy Dill (Jane) all of West Point; 22 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; Â and two great-great grandchildren ; and oneÂ sister, Roberta Hudson of Oxford, Ala.
Three sisters, Eoline Smith, Zora Sansing, Addie Lee Todd, two brothers, Woodrow Jaynes and Winfield Jaynes, two daughters in law Betty Dill, and Suzette Winter also preceded her in death.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers will be Earley Foster, Dr. Edmund A. Miller, Jr., and North Mississippi Medical Home Health and Hospice. Â Â Â
