C. D. White expired of complications from renal failure on Sept. 27, 2011, at the age of 85.
A memorial service officiated by Rev. Jason Middleton and Rev. Dickie Bryan will be held Thursday, Sept. 28, at 10 a.m., at Meadowview Baptist Church in Starkville.
Graveside services officiated by Rev. Paul E. Miller will be held at Mount Olivet Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, Oct. 1, at 10 a.m., with interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Davis White of Starkville; sister and brother-in-law, Charlie and Helen Acker of West Point; brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Linda White of Columbus; step-children, Mable Bartlett, Gene and Barbara Brown of Starkville, Ernest and Jewel Brown of Brooksville, Kirk Caraway of Dallas, Texas, Rick and Cathy Caraway of Hazel, Texas; 15 step-grandchildren with one being deceased; eight step great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, in-laws and friends.
