The Starkville Police Department has made two arrests in connection with a shooting that occurred at the B Quik gas station on Highway 12 in the early morning hours of Nov. 6.
Officers responded to a call about shots fired at approximately 1:50 a.m. Sunday. SPD Capt. Frank Nichols said there was a large crowd gathered outside the gas station store when numerous shots were fired, hitting several parked cars.
No one was hit by the bullets, but one woman was injured by shattered glass.
At the time of the incident, an officer was across the highway responding to a call at Sonic and was on the scene moments later.
Eddie Isaac, 21, of Columbus, and Jonathan Durrah, 21, also of Columbus, were charged with aggravated assault in connection with the shooting. Both men were released on a $5,000 bond each.
SPD is still investigating the incident and a forensics team is examining the evidence collected at the scene, including several bullets.
Starkville Police Department is asking anyone with any information regarding this or any other crime to call 662-323- 4131.
