Mrs. Eddie Maurice McMinn Pellum, 81, died Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, at her residence in Starkville. She was a retired school bus driver for Starkville Public Schools and a member of Longview Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Robert McMinn and Cora Nason McMinn; and brother, Quinton McMinn.
She is survived by her husband, Thurman Gene Pellum; daughter, Deborah Marie Shaffer and husband Kim; sons, Hollie Eugene Pellum and wife Dawn, and Douglas Wayne Pellum and wife Stephanie, all of Starkville; sister, Tommie Hodge of Clinton; grandchildren, Jonathan Upchurch, Becky Upchurch, Patty Smith, Paige Pellum, Heather Oliveri, Drew Pellum, Shelby Pellum and Sarah Morgan Pellum; and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, with the funeral service immediately following in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Wayne Sanders and Rev. Larry Yarber will conduct the service. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Baptist Cemetery.
