ETHEL – It was Class A, Region 5, District 4 titles times two for East Oktibbeha County High School Friday night.
After the Lady Titans came from behind to defeat Weir 65-56 to claim the girls champion, the Titans followed with an impressive 84-57 victory against West Lowndes for their title.
The East Oktibbeha girls had to come from behind as they were behind 15-12 at the end of the first quarter, 25-22 at halftime and 41-34 at the end of the third quarter. The Lady Titans outscored Weir 31-15 in the fourth quarter to pull out the game.
Quanisha Doss had 23 points to lead East Oktibbeha, which will host a first-round Class A North game Monday night.

ETHEL – The Titans expanded the lead as the game progressed.
After leading 14-11 at the end of the first quarter, East Oktibbeha increased the margin to 33-23 at halftime.
There were four Titans who scored in double figures. Davalyn Bell and Devonte Lucious had 16 points each, while Chris Harris added 15 points and Ranoldo Harris contributed 14 points.
The East Oktibbeha boys followed the girls by hosting a first-round Class A North game on Tuesday night.
