The regular season has come down to one game with Mississippi State playing Arkansas.

State fans celebrate the careers of Dee Bost, Brian Bryant, and Taylor Luczak prior to the game but once the opening tip occurs MSU will be fighting for their postseason lives.

"Senior Day is always a special day, but it's also important that we get the win," Bulldog head coach Rick Stansbury said. "It's our last game and it's a big game for both teams."

The Bulldogs (20-10 overall, 7-8 Southeastern Conference) are looking to carry the momentum created by their 69-67 overtime win over South Carolina on Wednesday, a win that snapped a five-game skid.

In that outing an MSU first occurred when Arnett Moultrie had 15 points and 12 rebounds, while Renardo Sidney had 12 points and 14 boards, followed by Bost with 13 points and 11 assists to make it the first time in school history three players recorded a double-double in the same game.

"We're looking for momentum going into the SEC Tournament," Bost said. "It will be an emotional day, but at the same time, we know how important it is to get a win."
It will take a similar effort for State to defend their home court against the Razorbacks Razorbacks (18-12, 6-9).

Arkansas, which has lost 11-straight at the Hump, enters the game coming off a 77-75 home loss to Ole Miss on Tuesday. The Razorbacks are led in scoring by B.J. Young and Mardracus Wade at 15.3 and 10.8 points, respectively.

If the Bulldogs win Saturday, they will be the No. 6 seed at next week's SEC Tournament and have a 9 p.m. tip on Thursday. If the Bulldogs lose, they'll be the No. 9 seed and play at noon.

The bigger picture requires that MSU finds a win to improve its No. 67 RPI if the Bulldogs hope to play their way into the NCAA Tournament.
Current projections from ESPN have State listed as an 11-seed into the tournament but a win today and a win or two in next week’s SEC Tournament would inch them closer to locking up a spot in March Madness.

As for today, the tip is set for 4:07 p.m., and the game will be televised by SportSouth with Dave Neal and Larry Conley handling the broadcast.
