East Webster wins over rival Eupora

March 8, 2012

EUPORA – In its last game, the East Webster Wolverines used the small game, but changed it up Thursday night.

The Wolverines beat the rival Eupora Eagles 7-3 at the Eupora baseball field.

Ty Hendrix pitched seven innings, struck out seven and only gave up four hits to get the win.

He also hit a two-run homerun. Codie Silver was not left out either as he put one over the fence in the fifth for a solo shot.

East Webster scored in every inning except the second. It scored one in the first, two in the third and scored one each in the fourth, fifth, sixth and seven innings.

The Eagles had a big fifth inning when they scored three runs, but that was all they could manage.
Codie McKee, Dylan Henley and Austin McGinnis each had two hits.

The Wolverines improved to 5-2 for the year and 1-0 in the division.
