Mississippi State picked up its 12th football commitment to the class of 2013 Saturday when McAdory, Ala. athlete Dezmond Harris committed to coach Dan Mullen.
“I am just relieved to be a Bulldog,” said Harris. “I am very happy and so was my family. The coaches welcomed me to the family and were very happy. I wanted to be a Bulldog.”
Harris was on hand for State’s Big Dawg Camp on Friday night and after a good showing, earned the offer he had been looking for.
“I felt like I had a good camp even though I wasn’t 100 percent,” Harris said. “Now I can go out and work on getting better and leading my team this year. It is a big relief for me and my family.”
The 6-3, 205-pound Harris plays quarterback at the high school level but is expected to be a linebacker for the Bulldogs.
