Mrs. Doris Dell Kernodle Hudnall of Alexander City, Ala., 83, died Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Chapman Healthcare Center.
Graveside services for Mrs. Hudnall were held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 19, 2012 at the Fairview Cemetery Addition in Eufaula, Ala. Dr. Jason Rodgers officiated.
The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Radney Funeral Home.
Radney Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
She was born on July 19, 1928 in Hampden-Sydney, Va. to Joseph Morton Kernodle and Bessie Irene Duncan Kernodle. She was a member of Presbyterian Church in America. Mrs. Hudnall attended 2 years of college in Farmville, Va., and was a homemaker for most of her life.
She was a great cook, loved to read, enjoyed playing golf, and loved cats. Mrs. Hudnall was a sweet, beautiful woman who loved people and had excellent southern class. She loved spending time with her family and was a wonderful mother.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharyn Howard (E. Kenneth, Jr.) of Alexander City, Ala., and Donna Birkhead of Louisville, Ky.; sisters, Esther Kernodle of Farmville, Va., Lucille Dunkley of Suffolk, Va., and Iva Hall (Tom) of Buckingham, Va; brother, Warren Kernodle (Linnie) of Hampden-Sydney, Va; and sister-in-law, Elaine Kernodle of South Bend, Ind.; and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Harold Kernodle and Carl Kernodle.
