PHILADELPHIA — Mrs. Marvis Sisson of Philadelphia, 80, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, 2012 at McClaine-Hays Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Richardson officiating.
Burial will follow at Mars Hill Cemetery in Winston County.
Visitation will be held noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, 2012 at McClain-Hays Funeral Home in Philadelphia.
McClain-Hays Funeral Home of Philadelphia is in charge of arrangements.
She was born and reared in the Zion Community of Neshoba County and made her
home in Philadelphia most of her adult life. Mrs. Sisson retired from South Central
Bell Telephone Company after many years of service. She was a member of the Telephone
Pioneers of America.
Survivors include her daughter, Patti (Jimmy) Abraham of Starkville; grandsons, Jim Abraham of Quitman, Josh (Morgan) Abraham of Tupelo and Jase (Whitney) Abraham of Starkville; and sister, Margarette Stevens of Shreveport, La.
Mrs. Sisson was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Sisson.
Pallbearers will be Tim Sisson, Jim Sisson, Kim Sisson, Phillip Willis, Gary Todd, Stan Manning, Jerome Manning, and Elridge Burkes.
