Two Starkville residents were arrested in Monroe County early Saturday morning and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
Andrew Jenkins, 25, of 136 Pecan Acres, and Pier Randle, 24, of 134 Sand Road Apartment 97, were booked at 1:48 a.m. Saturday morning and are still in Monroe County custody.
Jenkins was additionally charged with possession of beer in a dry county and failure to comply with a law enforcement officer, both misdemeanors.
Jenkins' bond is set at $20,655.50. Randle's is set at $20,000.
Monroe County officials say the drugs were found after the two were pulled over at a roadblock. The drugs were found during a search of the vehicle after it was determined there was a smell of marijuana, officials said. It was not clear how much was found.
