Mr. Odie Wayne Prisock, 72, died Monday, Dec.3, 2012, at his home in Madison surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012 at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville with Rev. Junior Davis officiating.
Burial will follow in Craig Springs Cemetery in Oktibbeha County.
Visitation will be held 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012 at Natchez Trace Funeral Home in Madison, and noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012 at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home prior to services.
Nowell-Massey Funeral Home of Louisville is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Prisock was born on Aug. 25, 1940, to Erskin and Velma Scarborough Prisock. He graduated from Starkville High School and was a member of the Mississippi National Guard for six years. Wayne was a home builder and land developer while living in Starkville, and a member of the Home Builders Association in Starkville, serving as the first president of this organization. After moving to Madison, he became a member of the
First Baptist Church of Madison and he was the owner of Prisock Company. Mr. Prisock was a member of the Canton Lodge No. 28 F & AM Masonic Lodge and a Past Worthy Patron of Canton Chapter No. 58 OES. Wayne was a man of many talents and he loved to hunt and fish.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen Dane Ellis Prisock of Madison; daughter, Stephanie P. Nix (Rick) of Ridgeland; son, Stephen Prisock (Keiley) of Madison; grandchildren, Veronica Grace Prisock, Matthew Nix and Andrew Nix; and brother, Prude Prisock (Margaret) of Starkville.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Buddy Prisock, Parker Prisock, Presley Prisock, Randall Prisock, Ronnie Massey, Larry Massey Brandon Prisock and Clay Wood.
Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Massey, Leon Merritt, J.D. Adcock, Joe Shurden Jr., Ester Taylor and Royce Faulkner.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given to Craig Springs Cemetery Fund, c/o Ronnie Massey, 595 Massey Drive, Starkville, MS 39759 or to the Building Fund, First Baptist Church, P. O. Box 400, Madison, MS 39130-0040 or to the charity of your choice.
