MATHISTON – The East Webster girls baskeball team beat Houlka Thursday night in impressive fashion.
Wolverine sophomore Quantesha Patterson put on a shooting display in the first half with 29 points, giving East Webster a lead of 38-8 at half.
“A lot of the times teams will double and triple team her, but she still goes up and gets the ball and scores,” East Webster coach Mandy Jewell said.
Jewell called off the Wolverines during the second half, as the team cruised into a 58-30 victory.
Patterson finished her night with 35 points.
“Our team is very unselfish,” Jewell said. “They try to get Patterson the ball for the better of the team.”
