Mr. Larry L. Swindle, 69, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2013 at Choctaw County Nursing Home in Ackerman.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013 at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman.
The family will greet friends and relatives at 1:30 p.m. prior to service.
Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman is in charge of arrangements.
Larry was born on Jan. 17, 1944 in Eupora to Royce Swindle and Pernell Collins Swindle. Larry grew up in Ackerman. Throughout his life, he drove a truck, was tradesman and salesman. He was a natural salesman and met no strangers.
Larry married Frances Jones in Sept. 1962 in Sturgis. They were married for 22 years and had three children, Wendy Fran, Sophia Mia and Micah Jared. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and meeting new people.
Larry is survived by his children, Wendy Bowen (Allen Bowen) of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Sophia Avery (Chris Avery) of Coeur D’Alene, Idaho and Jared Swindle of Sturgis; his sisters and brothers, Carol Robinson of Ackerman, Gaye Jones of Sturgis, Billy Swindle of Ackerman and Gene Swindle of Bradley; his grandchildren, Ashley Bowen, Brittney Bowen, Jonathan Bowen and Jordan Bowen; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Aleena and Masyn Barrett; and his nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Royce and Pernell; and his brother Mark.
