WEST POINT – Aeris Williams is described by his high school coach as a football player who is humble, works hard and makes everyone around him better.
Those characteristics of the West Point High School running back will carry over to the camp of Mississippi State one day if the statement he gave Wednesday holds.
Williams told a group of family, friends, coaches and media members at the school about his plans to become a Bulldog once his prep playing days were complete.
Former Green Wave players Curtis Virges and Justin Cox are already at MSU and that was also a factor in his decision.
"I love the players over there," Williams said. "I just felt at home. I want to go over there and help them win the national championship instead of going out of state."
Florida State and Wisconsin were also on Williams' list of possible college destinations.
