CRAWFORD – East Oktibbeha High School coach Randy Brooks knows about Jerry Rice as an athlete and a person.
With Thursday's presentation at the school by the Pro Football Hall of Fame and Allstate, which honored Rice as a "Hometown Hall of Famer," it was a chance for Brooks and others to visit and hear from the greatest wide receiver in National Football League history.
Brooks and Rice played against each other at rival schools. Brooks was at F. O. Alexander and Rice was at B. L. Moor High School before they combined to make East Oktibbeha.
