The way a speaker frames an argument can oftentimes lend validity — or invalidity — to the argument in general.
Depending on said framing, weak arguments can sometimes gain strength or would-be strong arguments can weaken. In cases of the latter, the general public sometimes dismisses issues that deserve a closer look because they question the credibility of the one broaching the subject.
