Mississippi State will only have to replace one coordinator this offseason.
The Bulldogs and defensive coordinator Geoff Collins agreed to a 2-year contract extension worth $1.2 million as announced by the team on Monday.
“Geoff is one of the bright defensive minds in all of college football,” MSU head coach Dan Mullen said in a school release. “We as a staff and I know our players are excited about his extension. We are building something special here at Mississippi State, and he understands what it means to be a part of the Bulldog family. He continues to raise expectations for our team defensively and is also a tremendous recruiter.”
