There have been jokes flying around about De'Runnya Wilson just showing up and playing any sport on the campus of Mississippi State.
The true freshman was a standout wide receiver for the football team this past fall and has joined the basketball team this winter.
Wilson joked that he might play baseball too.
"I am really good at baseball and a lot of folks don't know that," Wilson said. "I play third base and I can really pitch."
Bulldog fans shouldn't get their hopes up for Wilson playing baseball for coach John Cohen this spring.
Wilson will just stick with football and basketball.
The Wenonah, Ala., native, who also goes by the nickname Bear, caught they eye of MSU fans this fall. He registered 26 receptions for 351 yards and three touchdowns in his first season on the gridiron.
The transition hasn't been too difficult for Wilson.
"It's just a great experience transforming to basketball from football," Wilson said. "It's hard work but I still have the talent in me. I just felt like when I was in high school, I would give it a shot in college after football (season)."
