Everyone should know one person who closely watches the weather, is always prepared for a disaster and knows exactly what to do when things go terribly wrong.
You know, the person that breaks out the fully-stocked first-aid kit wherever it is necessary, or starts salting the driveway three days before the snow is going to hit. Or the person who always has a change of clothes and a pair of tennis shoes for the entire family sitting in a safe place specifically to wear during tornado warnings.
