Webster County Angel Tree still has names available

More than 230 Webster County “angels” were placed on the tree at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora last week, but many still need to be adopted by local families.
Robin Mixon, coordinator for the 2010 Community-Wide Webster County Angel Tree Project, said this year’s program represents more than 500 children in need in Webster County.
The number has almost doubled this year as more and more families are looking for help to make Christmas brighter for local children in need.
Mixon said $50 will help bring a happy Christmas to a needy child.
Individuals, families and churches are encouraged to stop by the front office of North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora Hospital and chose an “angel” or two.
Stop by the information desk and give your name, phone number and the “angel” number to the receptionist to make the “angel adoption” official.
All “angels” will have a small list of needs and wants, as well as ages and clothing sizes.
“Angel” gifts are due back at the hospital Dec. 13-15. Gift bags are preferred over gifts wrapped in wrapping paper, so the parents will be able to see what the children are receiving.
Parents will pick up “Angel” gifts Dec. 17 at the hospital or at participating churches.
All of the foster children in Webster County are also included on the Angel Tree.
