Roxy St. Clair, 97, of Memphis, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2011.
She was retired from the City of Memphis Hospitals as the director of nursing, an honor graduate of the University of Tennessee School of Nursing and a member of the Christian (Disciples of Christ) Church.
Mrs. St. Clair, the widow of Benjamin St. Clair, Jr., is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth St. Clair Tate of Madison; son, Benjamin St. Clair of Memphis; sister, Bessie Collura of Fayetteville, Ark.; grandsons, L. Christopher Tate of Richmond Hill, Ga., John B. St. Clair of Memphis, Jared B. St. Clair of Sevierville, Tenn. and Justin S. Tate of Canton, Ga.; and great-grandchildren, Coleman and Connor Tate, Molly Ann St. Clair, Madelyn and Britton St. Clair and John Miller Tate.
The funeral and burial was held at 2 p.m. Friday at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Road with visitation beginning at 1 p.m.
