Cynthia Laurean Reeves of Oakland, Calif. passed away on Saturday, April 9,
2011, at the age of 48.
Cynthia was born in Starkville, on January 12, 1963, to parents, Mary Louise
and Willie Lindsey Reeves. She was a graduate of Starkville High School,
Class of 1981. Following graduation, she relocated to California, lived
briefly in Los Angeles and later settled in Oakland, Calif.
Cynthia fought bravely against cancer during the past two years and up until
her death. Throughout her illness, she remained a loving mother to her
children, Alexia Naomi Rochell and Gino Houghins.
Cynthia was preceded by her parents and sisters, Deborah Lynn Jordan. She
is survived by sister, Fredia Reeves of Los Angeles, Calif.; two brothers, Willie Reeves of Oakland, Calif., and Gerald Reeves of Michigan; two nieces; two nephews; one great-niece; three great-nephews; an uncle; four aunts; and a host of cousins in California and Mississippi.
Services will be held Friday, April 15, with burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Oakland, Calif.
