Joyce Raines Garnett

Joyce Raines Garnett, 86, passed away April 16, 2011, at OCH Regional Medical Center.
She was the retired owner of Joyce's Antiques and loved her family and friends.
Visitation is scheduled for 5-7 p.m. today at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Welch Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Park. Services will be conducted by Rev. Tim Buchanan.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, John B. Raines and Florence Raines; her husband, Johnnie B. Garnett; long time friend, Ed Monroe; son, Larry Garnett; grandson, Terry Quinn; great-granddaughter, Rachael Livingston; brothers, Jimmy Raines, J.B. Raines,and Ishmael Van; and sister, Vera Jenkins.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Whitmarsh; son, Freddie Garnett and wife, Linda; sisters, Doris Chesteen, Faye Robinson and husband V.J., May Morrow and husband Bill, and Maxine Condit; sisters-in-law, Peggy Raines and Sarah Raines; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Sid Jeffries, Steven Hood, Al Quinn, Sr., Steve Bush, David Palmer, Jarrad Newell, Wayne (Skebo) Jones and Justin Livingston.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
