Juanita Bishop

Mrs. Juanita (Nita) Bishop, 82, of  Starkville, passed away at Starkville Manor Nursing Home on June 29, 2011. 
Nita was a retired teacher with Oktibbeha County Public Schools, where she had worked for 34 years.  She was also a graduate of  Mississippi  State  University with a Specialist Degree and a member of  First  Baptist  Church in Maben.
She was preceded in death by her son, Kenny W. Bishop; parents, Loyd and Mary Rodgers; and a sister, Berniece Conlee.
Mrs. Bishop is survived by her daughter, Glenda Palmer (Bill) of  Maben ,  MS ; grandchildren: Johnathan Bishop, Brad Palmer (Leslie), and John Palmer all of  Jackson , MS ; a great granddaughter, Allison Bishop of  Hernando ,  MS ; and host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Mrs. Bishop is scheduled for Saturday, July 2, 2011 from 12-2 p.m. at Providence  Methodist  Church in Maben.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 2 p.m. at  Providence  Methodist  Church in Maben.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
