A fountain from an old hand pump serves as the spout for the small Koi pond Brenda Chambliss enjoys. She loves the sound of the water and feeding the beautiful fish. Chambliss built the pond at her former home and brought it to her childhood home on Green Street in downtown Starkville when she moved in to take care of her mother a few years ago. Moving the pond was one of the more interesting landscape projects. Some of the stones near the fountain were collected over the years during family vacations. (Photo by Gwen Sisson, SDN)
