Starkville man charged with credit card fraud

Starkville Police Department officers arrested Michael Dewayne Harris, 32, Wednesday and charged him with one count of credit card fraud after receiving numerous complaints from a local apartment complex over several months.
An SPD release said investigators received several reports of fraud and theft from the complex over a seven-month period and most of the victims in these cases have been foreign college students studying at Mississippi State University.
Harris was released on $5,000 bond after his arrest pending an upcoming court date. SPD will release no further details on the incidents and said investigation is ongoing.
