Bulldog Bash revealing headliner Saturday

The Mississippi State University Student Association will announce the headliner for Bulldog Bash at noon on Saturday, and it plans to broadcast the announcement in video form on its Twitter feed at @MSUBulldogBash.

Bulldog Bash Director Allie Nichols said the headliner has been in the works for a few months.

The 2017 Bulldog Bash is scheduled for Friday, Sep. 15 and Nichols said the Student Association is looking forward to the opportunity to expand with the change in venue. This year, the day of events will be housed on Main Street instead of in the Cotton District.

"I think having more space is something we're really excited about," Nichols said. "Also, having all of the downtown businesses right there is something I'm really excited about, especially during the day."

Nichols said they are looking forward to populating Main Street with vendors and local artists during the daytime Maroon Market. The market portion of the day will take place from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. During that time period, many shops and restaurants on Main Street will be open to welcome in the market attendees and extra foot traffic.

"I think having all those stores right there is going to create a really awesome atmosphere that was hard for us to accomplish in our other location," Nichols said.

The concert portion of the event will begin at 7 p.m.
