Mississippi State guard Xavian Stapleton turned himself into the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office Monday due to a warrant issued against him for disturbing the peace. Stapleton was then released on a $500 bond.

In a statement, an MSU spokesman said “We are still gathering facts, and until we know all the information, we won’t have any comment.”

Mississippi State head coach Ben Howland said on Tuesday that Stapleton’s status with the Bulldogs remains unchanged and the plan is for Stapleton to be available tonight for MSU’s game at Florida.

Stapleton has played in 12 games for Mississippi State this season. He is averaging 6.5 points and 2.7 rebounds per contest.
