Runs were once again hard to find for the Mississippi State Bulldogs at Nusz Park on Saturday night.
After scoring five times in an 8-5 loss to the Missouri Tigers on Friday night, the Bulldogs could only muster one a 3-1 loss in the second game of the Southeastern Conference series.
MSU actually out-hit Missouri 8-7 and struck the softball well, but couldn’t find open spaces.
“I think we hit the ball really well,” Bulldog head coach Vann Stuedeman said. “We hit several balls really hard right at them. They made the catch. One time (Sarai Niu) hit the ball really hard at the third baseman. She drops it, but was still able to throw her out. I thought we stroked the ball really well (Saturday night) unlike some other games we’ve had.”
