MSU freshman pitcher Stephens arrested

Mississippi State freshman pitcher Zane Stephens was arrested Sunday by the Mississippi Highway Patrol and charged with driving under the influence. He then bonded out according to the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office.

No other details were made available regarding the arrest and MSU hasn’t yet commented.

Stephens, a Florida native, came to Mississippi State prior to this season as a top 500 player from the class of 2017 according to Perfect Game. The right-hander struck out 77 hitters in 45 innings pitched in his senior year of high school.
