MSU show choir, dance troupe, set Halloween performance


Members of Mississippi State’s show choir, Blitz, and dance theatre company, Terpsichore, are out to show the campus and community that “This is Halloween” when they take the stage at Lee Hall’s Bettersworth Auditorium Friday night.
The two performance groups have joined forces to stage their first-ever Halloween showcase, taking its name from a song from the popular animated film, “The Nightmare Before Christmas.”
The show will be staged at 7:30 p.m. in the Bettersworth Auditorium in Lee Hall. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children under 12.
Blitz and Terpsichore members have been rehearsing for Friday’s show since the start of the fall semester.
Some numbers are being performed by Blitz, others are being performed by Terpsichore. The two groups will combine to perform some joint numbers.
The set list for Friday night’s show includes (but not necessarily in this order):

• “I Put A Spell on You” from “Hocus Pocus.”
• “Libera Me” from “Interview with a Vampire.”
• “Rag Doll” from “The Nightmare before Christmas.”
• “Bad Romance” by Lady GaGa.
• “Friday the 13th” from “Friday the 13th.”
• “Supermassive Black Hole” by Muse
• “Love Song of a Vampire” from “Interview With a Vampire.”
• “Thriller” by Michael Jackson.
• “Superstition” by Stevie Wonder.
• “Masquerade” from “The Phantom of the Opera.”
• “Come Little Children” from “Hocus Pocus.”
• “Mama Who Bore Me” and the “Reprise” from “Spring Awakening.”
