Lamar Peters is returning to Mississippi State.

The junior-to-be guard, who had entered his name in the NBA Draft, announced via social media on Sunday that he has decided to stay in Starkville for the 2018-2019 season.

“Excited to announce I’ll be returning for my junior campaign,” Peters posted.

With Peters’ announcement, Quinndary Weatherspoon is the only MSU player who is still testing the NBA waters. Weatherspoon has until June 11 to pull his name out of the draft should he wish to come back to Mississippi State.

Peters’ return gives the Bulldogs a huge boost. He started 21 of State’s 34 games last season and proved to be a both a dynamic scorer as well as a player proficient at creating opportunities for others.

Peters finished last season averaging 9.6 points and 4.5 assists per game.
