WEDDING Wilkinson-Ainsworth

Erin Rebecca Wilkinson of Decatur, Ala. and Avery Jerald Ainsworth III of Jackson,  formerly of Starkville, were united in marriage at 6 p.m. April 10, 2010, at Central United Methodist Church in Decatur, Ala. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Mitchell Williams.
The bride is the daughter of Judge and Mrs. Charles Bernard Langham of Decatur, Ala. and Mr. Wade Edward Wilkinson of Huntsville, Ala. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Robert Beauregard of Huntsville, Ala. and the late Lt. Col. Rudolph Frank Nottrodt, and Dr. Edward Lee Wilkinson and the late Sarahann Seymour Wilkinson of Union Grove, Ala.
The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Avery Jerald Ainsworth, Jr. of Hammond, La., formerly of Starkville. He is the grandson of Mr. Avery Jerald Ainsworth, Sr. and the late Mrs. Clara Blount Ainsworth of Jackson and Mrs. Charlotte Brown Kidd and the late Mr. Harold Davis Kidd of Hattiesburg.
Escorted by her step-father, the bride wore a formal strapless trumpet gown of ivory silk organza with beaded French lace accents that flowed throughout the A-line skirt into the chapel-length train. The cathedral-length veil of ivory tulle was monogrammed with her initials. The bride’s jewelry included her mother’s double-strand pearl bracelet and pearl-drop earrings accented with diamonds.
She carried a hand-tied bouquet of white roses, lilies, lilac, sweet pea and peonies wrapped in a monogrammed vintage handkerchief given to her by her aunt.
Attending the bride as her matron of honor was Sara Caldwell of Montgomery, Ala. Her maid of honor was Stephanie Forbes of Atlanta, Ga. Bridesmaids were Devin Banchero and Stefanie Lance both of Hattiesburg; Carmen Ainsworth, Katie Nelson, Melody Pan, Margaret Pettey, and Kate Sanders, all of Birmingham, Ala.
Serving as best men were father of the groom, Jerald Ainsworth, and brother of the groom, Aaron Ainsworth of Birmingham, Ala. Groomsmen were Jason Bushby of Birmingham, Ala.; Josh Coker of Huntsville, Ala.; Chuck Emplaincourt of Memphis, Tenn.; Casey Pratt of Olive Branch; Hossein Razzaghi of San Francisco, Calif.; Austin Shafer of Houston, Texas; Jeff Weathers of Dallas, Texas; and Jim Weathers of Gulfport.
Ceremony music was provided by organist Foster Bailey and string ensemble Viljar Weimann and Company. A scripture reading was given by Brandon Thompson.
Sara Alice Godwin directed the wedding. Wedding coordinator was Calandra Terry of An Event to Remember. Photography was captured by Liss Sterling and Bill Powell of Liss Sterling Photography.
A reception followed at Historic Rhodes Ferry Park on the Tennessee River. Guest were welcomed by Mr. and Mrs. Avery Ainsworth, III and enjoyed the music that was provided by Z and the Party Factory of Birmingham, Ala.
On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner in honor of the bride and groom at the Decatur Country Club. Following a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple is at home in Jackson where the groom works for Skin Sake Athletic, LLC and the bride is an Occupational Therapist at St. Dominic’s Hospital.
An Around the House shower was given January 23 at the home of Katie and Jason Bushby in Birmingham, Ala. Hosts were Devin and Chris Banchero, Katie and Jason Bushby, Sara and Tyler Caldwell, Stephanie Forbes, Stefanie Lance, Katie and Jonathan Nelson, Melody Pan, Margaret Pettey, Kate Sanders, Brandon Thompson, and Liz and Mike Wetzler.
A couples shower with a fiesta theme was given February 27 at the home of Debbie and Bill Manifold in Decatur, Ala. Hosts were Jenny and Marvin Chou, Sara Alice and George Godwin, Debbie and Bill Manifold, Carol and Lynn Ozier, Mary and Chris Pettey, Meg and Rick Pettey, Caroline and Rick Sanders, and Charlotte White.
A bridal shower was given March 12 by the bride’s co-workers at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson.
A bachelorette weekend and lingerie shower was given March 26-28 in honor of the bride by her bridesmaids in Savannah, Ga.
A bridesmaids brunch was given the morning of the April 10 wedding at Decatur Country Club. Hostesses were Joan Addison, Tessa Hollenbeck, Linda Langham, Gracie Patterson and Jodi Williams.
